Fat Quarters, a Quilter's favorite! These friendly one-fourth yards of fabric measure 18" x 22". They are shaped by cutting a yard of fabric crosswise into four large rectangles instead of the usual 9" x 44" quarter-yard. A fat quarter allows you to cut out patchwork pieces that are larger than a standard 9" wide cut.
